It must have fallen out on his morning walk. As my dog Pepper sniffed around the dingys, I bent down and picked up the worn leather wallet. I didn't know the face on the driver's license but I knew the home address. I didn't find a phone number, so Pepper and I decided to extend our walk a little. We reached the house and found the driveway empty so we placed the wallet in the mailbox and headed home. No need to leave a note, it's just what neighbors do for one another.
